Xbase++ Workbench:xwb

Overview Foundation

The Xbase++ Workbench (XWB) is an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for the Xbase++ programming language of Alaska Software. The Xbase++ Workbench integrates all tools necessary for application development and makes them transparently accessible through a graphical user interface. The Workbench is easy to use and can be customized to a great extent.

The Xbase++ Workbench uses a project definition file which holds all information required for creating an entire project as its backbone. Experienced Xbase++ developers are familiar with project files (XPJ files) and source code files (PRG files). The Xbase++ Workbench uses the very same files and automates the build process so that the various tools for project creation are invoked automatically. This relieves the developer from working on the command line. The creation of an entire application is controlled from a central place, the Xbase++ Workbench.
