This chapter describes the directives which are available to instruct the preprocessor how to translate the source code of an Xbase++ application. The result of the preprocessor is compiled by the Xbase++ compiler to executable code which the linker uses to create an EXE file. Using directives a programmer is able to extend the Xbase++ language by defining new commands or user defined functions. The preprocessor is an extremely powerful tool which enhances a programmer's work in many ways.
