Function Netname() Foundation
This function does not exist in Xbase++.
Under OS/2, the name of a work station on the network is available from the network operating system. Since this functionality is dependent on the respective network operating system, there is no generally valid procedure to determine the network name of a computer. For this reason the function Netname() does not exist in Xbase++.
Under Windows the name of a work station on the network is stored in the registry database of the work station and can be retrieved from there. Refer to the DLLFUNCTION command for a comprehensive example.
