Function RenameFile() Foundation
Renames a file and handles errors.
Syntax
RenameFile( <cOldFilename>, ;
<cNewFilename> ;
) --> nErrorCodeReturn
Possible return values correspond to #define constants found in XBTSYS.CH
Return values of RenameFile()
| Constant | Description |
|---|---|
| NO_DISK_ERR | File was renamed successfully |
| ER_FILE_NOT_FOUND | File not found |
| ER_PATH_NOT_FOUND | Invalid path was specified |
| ER_ACCESS_DENIED | Access denied |
| ER_DIFFERENT_DEVICE | New file is not on same drive |
Description
Note that files cannot be moved from one drive to another using RenameFile().
