Method DllCallback():destroy() Foundation

Releases resources of the callback object.

Syntax
:destroy() --> self
Return

This method returns the object executing the method (self).

Description

The method :destroy() is part of the life cycle of a callback object and releases resources requested in the :create() method.

For synchronous callbacks, the :destroy() is called automatically before DLLExecuteCall() returns. For asynchronous callbacks, however, resources must be freed explicitly by the application. To this, the callback must be destroyed explicitly via a call to :destroy()when it is no longer needed.

The :destroy() method of the base class must be called using SUPER when overriding :destroy() in a user-defined callback class.
