WAA Server kit Professional
By default the WAA development kit is installed on drive C: whereby the location is split into two parts. The first part contains the binaries and is installed in the Program Files folder, which on 32-bit operating systems is: C:\Program Files\Alaska Software\waa20 and on 64-bit operating systems is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Alaska Software\waa20.
The following directories are created if the respective feature was enabled during the installation process:
Directory | Description |
---|---|
Gateway | Gateway between the HTTP server and WAA |
Server | Web Application Adaptor (WAA) and Xbase++ runtime |
The connection between the HTTP server and the WAA is managed by a gateway that is available as CGI application for Windows and Linux and as ISAPI module for the Microsoft IIS web server. How to install and configure the gateway depends on where and how the HTTP server is installed.
The second part is installed to the Documents folder of the user who is installing the WAA package. On operating systems up to Windows XP, this folder is named: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents\Xbase++\waa, while on later operating systems, the folder is named: C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Xbase++\waa. The configuration file "waa1srv.cfg" is installed in this folder.
Depending on what feature was enabled during the installation process, the following directories are created:
Directory | Description |
---|---|
Logfiles | The directory where the WAA Server writes its log files to |
Samples | The WAA sample collection |
Waa-data | The database files for session management |
