A variety of data sources becomes transparently accessible via the ODBCDBE using Xbase++ as the programming language. Each data source requires an appropriate ODBC driver to be available on a computer. In addition, proper configuration data must be supplied when a connection between an application program and the data source is established. This chapter explains how to obtain information about ODBC drivers and ODBC data sources, and demonstrates how to establish connections to different data sources.
