Using the samples Foundation

The <CXP/> installation package comes with a collection of samples demonstrating various aspects of the <CXP/> build and execution environment. The following is a simple walk-through illustrating the usage of the sample browser.

1. On the machine where <CXP/> has been installed on, use a web browser to navigate to the URL http://localhost/samples/index.cxp. This page shows the samples overview, which itself is a (fairly complex) <CXP/> application.

2. Select the intro tab. Among other things, this will show an entry for the Simple "Hello World" using Xbase++ and the <CXP/> platform for web applicationssample and an explanation what the sample is about.

3. A click on the corresponding heading will unfold the hello.cxp sample source code and at the same time, the <CXP/> page hello.cxp will be executed. The result will be shown in a separate web browser window or tab page.
